Work with me

Professional learning for everyone around a learner

The Learning Framework® is one system, built on the neuroscience of learning, that everyone who supports a learner can use. Every partnership begins with The Five Conditions for Learning. Once your group understands the five conditions, we can take on any struggle you are seeing, because each one connects back to one of them. I build every session around the people who will be in the room, so find yourself below. I am based in Chicago, Illinois, and glad to travel. The 2026 to 2027 school year is fully booked, and I am now booking summer 2027 and the 2027 to 2028 school year.

Better together

A year-long partnership for your whole school community

Everyone who has tried to help a struggling learner knows how hard it is when the school, the family, and the specialists are each working from different information. In a full partnership, everyone learns The Learning Framework® in the same school year, so you all share one common language, built on the neuroscience of learning, and can finally work together. This is how we reach the learners who have been the hardest to reach for the longest time.

  1. 1

    Educators

An opening-day keynote and a full day of learning, then workshops, coaching, and return visits on your in-service days, so the learning builds all year.

  2. 2

    Leaders

Leadership coaching to align your MTSS, intervention planning, and student problem-solving systems with the neuroscience of learning, so you can respond with more precision.

  3. 3

    Families

An evening parent series in the same school year, using the same common language.

  4. 4

    Learners

Student sessions in the structure that works best for your school, from an assembly to student workshops.

  5. 5

    Specialists

Support for specialists and practitioners who work with students in more specific ways, with school plans aligned to home plans.

  6. 6

    Lasting capacity

A smaller cohort learns to lead the work, so it continues in a train-the-trainer model.

For schools, districts, and practices

Educators, specialists, and practitioners

A shared model of how learning happens in the brain, so every conversation about a learner starts from the same understanding. School psychologists, therapists, social workers, coaches, and other specialists are welcome in every session.

  1. Start here

    The Five Conditions for Learning

Through a hands-on simulation, staff experience the five conditions every brain needs in order to learn, then learn to see which condition is not being met for a learner.

    Ask about this
    Full day
  2. Most requested

    Managing Your Executive Functions

Educators learn what executive function is, name the five skills inside it, and experience their own executive functions at work in a hands-on lab, then plan an executive function routine to use with their class.

    Ask about this
    Full day
  3. Go deeper

    CREATE the Conditions for Learning

The planning practice that builds the conditions for learning into instruction, including how the brain's functions develop from birth to adulthood. Also offered as a 4-day Summer 2027 Institute in Chicago.

    Ask about this
    Workshop days or year-long cohort
  4. Go deeper

    Sessions on one question

Remembering, attention, homework, impulse control, emotions and learning, motivation, agency, perseverance, or sleep, each built around your staff and the learners they teach.

    Ask about this
    Length customized to your schedule
  5. Go deeper

    The Developmental Progressions Series

What to expect from the brain at each age and stage, so expectations and supports match where learners are in their development.

    Ask about this
Customized to the ages you teach, or birth to 26
  6. Across your system

    Leadership teams and committees

I partner with leaders and school committees to build a shared understanding across the district. Leadership coaching aligns your MTSS, intervention planning, and student problem-solving systems with the neuroscience of learning, so you can respond with more precision.

    Retreat day or multi-session series
For independent coaches and specialists

Coaches, consultants, and specialists in their own practice

If you already work with learners and families on your own, as an executive function coach, student coach, tutor, therapist, or consultant, you can learn The Learning Framework® and use it with every client. You keep the tools and methods you already use, and you connect them to the neuroscience of learning. Your clients, their families, and their schools can then share one common language for what the learner needs.

  1. Start here

    Learn the framework

You experience The Five Conditions for Learning, learn to see which condition is not being met for a client, and plan how you will explain the five conditions to the learners and families you work with.

    Ask about this
    Small-group cohort or one-on-one
  2. Go deeper

    Consultation for your practice

We look at the way you work with clients now, connect your sessions and tools to the five conditions, and plan how you will share the framework with each learner and family.

    Ask about this
    Scheduled around your practice
  3. Share it

Sessions for the families you serve

I teach an evening talk or the Developmental Progressions Series for your client families, so they hear the same language at home that they hear from you.

    Ask about this
One evening or a series, in person or virtual
  4. The whole system

    The Summer 2027 Institute

Four days in Chicago to learn the five conditions, how to CREATE them, and what to expect from the brain at every age from birth to 26. Every attendee receives a 1-year membership to TheLearningFramework.org.

Parents and caregivers

Plain-language explanations of what is happening in your child's brain, with everyday ways to support it at home.

  1. Start here

    An evening talk

One evening for a parent group or PTO on a single question, such as attention, remembering, or executive function, with something to try at home that week.

    Ask about this
One evening, in person or virtual
  2. Go deeper

    Ask about this
    Five evenings, in person
  3. Go deeper

    The Developmental Progressions Series

What to expect from your child's brain at each age and stage, so you know what they are ready for and how to support the next step.

For learners

Children, teens, and adults

Learners who understand how their own brain works can see what helps them and ask for it.

    Ask about this
    Scoped to age and setting
